The capital of Slovenia is only 30 minutes away. Jump on a train or bus and experience the European Green Capital 2016. Its main square is named after the giant Slovenian poet from Kranj, France Preseren. Ljubljana architectural character of the 20th century was created by Jože Plecnik, who in many ways influenced the modern lifestyle of Ljubljana.
3. The lakes of Bled and Bohinj
The iconic lake with the only Slovenian island in Bled and the largest natural lake in Slovenia, in Bohinj are the jewels in the heart of the Julian Alps. In the summer they invite you to refresh yourself in the clear water, and in winter to skate on the glass surface. Treat yourself to a trout of Bohinj and try the famous Bled cream cake. The beauty of nature is most easily reached by bus from Kranj, which starts from the station Globus.
