Archival material from past periods of the city of Kranj is carefully stored in the Historical Archives of Ljubljana, Gorenjska Unit in Kranj. These are written, drawn, photographed and other miscellaneous traces that are truly a document of the time in which they were created: documents, land registers, administrative, legal and political acts, contracts, statutes, inventories, minutes, reports, drawings, photographs, postcards and so on and on, the diversity of historical documents and testimonies knows no bounds. All of this is part of a memorial treasury that opens the door to past times, past centuries, and allows us to establish truly direct contact with history.
