Kranj Grand Prix - Filip Majcen memorial
Cycling festival in Kranj
23 and 24 July
Kranj has been one of the capitals of cycling for many years, and this year, too, the town will be dedicated to the sport for two days.
As part of the Festival of Cycling, Kranj will host the afternoon and night criterium races through the streets of Kranj, part of national championships for professional cyclists, while the more relaxed races will be contested by children, postal workers and supporters of the Cycling Club. The highlight of the entire event will be on Sunday with the Kranj Grand Prix!
The Jelen slope will decide, as it does almost every year, who will be the winner of the Kranj Grand Prix – Filip Majcen Memorial, the oldest Slovenian cycling race, which will be held for the 54th time this year and is organised under the auspices of the UCI.
On 24 July, the cyclists will set out on the 159,9 km long course, 13 laps in Kranj and its surroundings.
