WINE ROUTE IN THE TUNNELS UNDER THE OLD TOWN OF KRANJ – The most unusual place for a wine tasting
13–14 May and 20–21 May 2022 │ Friday: 3pm–7pm and Saturday 1pm–7pm

The Wine Route meanders its way through the labyrinth under this town! Wines from all Slovenian winegrowing regions and delicious food can be found in the Tunnels under the old town!

Excellent wines will be well complemented by cheeses, various breads and meat products. The wine-growing regions will present their tourist attractions and their special gastronomic and cultural features as well.

With the purchase of a ticket to the Wine Route, visitors will receive also a glass and a carrier bag for it. Due to the large number of visitors, your wine tasting will be limited to a maximum of 2 hours. This year’s event will take place only in one tunnel as renovation is taking place in the rest of the tunnels. The exit point will be in the Kokra River canyon, where the exhibiting wine makers will put up their stands.

More than 180 different winegrowers have already presented their wines at this event in previous years. The Wine Route is visited every year by over 5000 wine lovers.

The Wine Route event was originally scheduled for November 2021, but it had to be postponed due to stricter conditions for events at that time. The new dates are 13 and 14 May 2022 and 20 and 21 May 2022.
