August 22, from 7 am to 7 pm, in the centre of Kranj
This year, the 12-hour run in its Slovenian edition will take place for the fourth time, on Sunday
The event was organized twice in Trboje (in 2015 and 2016), and in 2019 for the first time in the centre of Kranj, which made it even more attractive and interesting for spectators and especially for competitors. The Slovenian 12-hour run is the first ultramarathon to take place in a city centre, in Slovenia and beyond.
After the excellent response, praise and requests from the competitors and fans, the event will take place again this year, in the centre of Kranj. Among the runners are Nataša Robnik, national record holder in the 12-hour run (Kranj 2019), Mirko B. Miklič, with the second best result among Slovenians at the Spartathlon (Greece), Neža Mravlje, holder of the Slovenian record in the 100-km run, Marco Bonfiglio who set the Italian national record at the first Slovenian 12-hour run (Trboje 2015), Ivan Cudin, three-time Spartathlon winner, and the American runner Brenda Carawan, who in 2017 came second in the finish line of one of the toughest ultramarathons, in Death Valley (Badwater, USA). In addition to them, participants from 15 countries already competed in this 12-hour run. Many of them ran such a distance for the first time, and some of them even set personal records.
