Ljubljana is a city that has a lot to offer in any weather or time of year. Its characteristic image along the river that is winding through the old town, with picturesque bridges and a market was designed by the great European architect Jo\u017ee Ple\u010dnik.<\/h3>\n

His design is a phenomenon of urban planning on a global scale, as it can be seen as a total work of art of the 20th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n

From the centre of Kranj you turn towards the bridge called Delavski most and then after you cross it, cycle along the right bank of the Sava River all the way to Zbilje where you turn towards Gori\u010dane and from there past the village of Sora to Topol close to the hill of Katarina. The part where you cycle uphill is not long; it winds through a pleasantly cool shade of trees and ends with a beautiful view.<\/p>\n

This is followed by a bit more demanding descent into the valley of the Grada\u0161\u010dica River. Passing Dobrova, you soon reach the old city centre of Ljubljana, where you can see most precious cultural and natural beauties and, of course, have some really good food. From the centre of Ljubljana, you can then cycle past Tivoli Park and along Celov\u0161ka cesta to Stane\u017ei\u010de.<\/p>\n

From there, just follow the signs for the D2 long-distance cycling trail and you can rely on them to take you back to Kranj.<\/p>\n
