SLO12RUN
1 June 2025<\/span><\/h2>

On Sunday, 1 June<\/strong>, Kranj<\/strong> will host the eighth edition of the I FEEL SLOVENIA12RUN<\/strong><\/a> running event that attracts the best ultramarathoners and many spectators every year. Among the registered competitors from more than 15 countries<\/strong>, many well-known names from the ultramarathon world<\/strong> will be present, guaranteeing a tough fight for places on the winner\u2019s podium. The entire Croatian ultramarathon team will also be among the participants, adding even more excitement to this already prestigious race.<\/p>

The 12-hour<\/strong> race has been awarded the International Ultramarathon Association<\/strong> (IAU) Gold Label<\/strong> for the second time, which proves its high level<\/strong> and international reputation<\/strong>. The 6-hour<\/strong> version of the event has been awarded the IAU Bronze Label<\/strong>, which further confirms the quality of the event.<\/p>

This year\u2019s edition is enriched by the new international system of ultra-running disciplines, which brings together the best ultra runs in the region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). SLO12RUN will thus be included in the IAU Balkan Express Cup<\/strong> in 2025.<\/p>

The event will be especially honoured by the visit by the ultramarathon legend<\/strong>, Yiannis Kouros<\/strong> from Greece, and the course will be named after him. Kouros competed together with the Slovenian ultramarathon runner Du\u0161an Mravlje<\/strong>, who left an indelible mark on the world of ultramarathons.<\/p>

The SLO12RUN<\/strong> is a 12<\/strong> and 6 hour<\/strong> race, which takes place in the centre of Kranj<\/strong>, in a circle of 1250 metres<\/strong>. A grandstand will be set up in the start-finish area for spectators, so that they will have the opportunity to see the competitors and to cheer them on.<\/p>

The event is organised by the S12R Athletics Club from Kranj and co-organised by the Culture and Tourism Board Kranj<\/strong>, with the support of the Municipality of Kranj<\/strong> and the Athletics Association of Slovenia<\/strong> (AAS).<\/p>

The event is taking place in accordance with the principles of sustainable development<\/strong><\/a>, and participants are provided with green guidelines for sustainable behaviour.<\/p>
