“This café is run by two cheerful young women who met as students working at a bar in Kranj,” say the managers of the café in Huje, which opened its doors in early 2026.
Here, they brew Java coffee, a brand that is entering the Slovenian market right here at the Intergenerational Center Café. Those who’d rather drink something else can opt for the high-quality (and increasingly popular) ceremonial matcha tea by Munchies or natural fruit purees made without added sugars or artificial colours.
“The rest of the menu is based on healthier alternatives that are gentle on our bodies, hormones, and, above all, children’s development,” they emphasize. Located in a beautiful area for walks in nature, all drinks are available in to-go cups as well.
The Intergenerational Center Café is popular with families, as there is a playground next to the café, a children’s corner inside, and once a month they host a mini Sunday morning disco – an event that delights the little ones (and at the same time offers a mini break for their parents).
At this café, which brings generations together, they like to say it’s a place where you can enjoy good coffee and a quiet little corner of the city where, on weekends, you’ll hear the genuine laughter of people of all ages.
