INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF FINE ARTS KRANJ – ZDSLU
1 – 31 October 2026
The International Festival of Fine Arts (MFLU) is the largest fine arts festival in Slovenia. Participating artists represent a wide range of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, visual communication design, photography, video, architecture and new artistic practices.
The 15th International Festival of Fine Arts is held this year under the theme Window as a Space of the Gaze.
The festival will take place from 1 to 31 October 2026, with the opening on 1 October at 17:00 at the Town Hall Gallery (Gorenjska Museum).
In contemporary art, the window goes beyond its role as an architectural element, becoming a frame, a passage and a symbolic boundary between inside and outside, the visible and the hidden, and the observer and the observed. The festival thus raises questions about what and how we see, and how our perspective shapes our understanding of space, reality and others.
You can find the full festival programme HERE.
The festival will feature 80 artists from 16 countries, working in painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video and performance.
