This beautiful route it is quieter than the other hills above Kranj and it is suitable for cycling or hiking.
From the starting point, Stražišče pri Kranju, take the direction of Sv. Jošt. The initially steep climb later becomes a bit more level through the villages of Pševo and Javornik to Čepulje. From there, the road is flat and has a beautiful panorama. Follow the main road to the left, past some houses and the restaurant “Na sedlu” and then continue to the village of Planica for just over two kilometres, past a monument to fallen fighters in World War II. In Planica, turn right into a cul-de-sac that, in a few bends, takes you uphill to the church of the Archangel Gabriel. In Planica you can have a delicious meal at the Pr Brčnk holiday farm.

If you are travelling by car, park it at the monument to the WWII partisans (a few meters before the village sign for Planica). There you will find an information board with local hiking trails. From here you can walk along a forest path that passes the monument and brings you to the small church of the Archangel Gabriel. At the Pr Brčnk farmhouse in Planica, you can order refreshing drinks and try their home-cooked meals.
