Gallery of Prešeren Award Laureates – Pavšlar House

The old mansion was probably built soon after 1550, when two or even three older buildings were put together, with a picturesque corridor and arcades in the courtyard. It has a central location on the main square and this testifies to the importance of the former owners and also of the art exhibited there today.

The renowned Gallery of Prešeren Award Laureates is located in the Pavšlar House. Its exhibitions present the works by visual artists who received the most prestigious prize in Slovenia, so it offers the best insight into the contemporary art of this country.
