The house on Reginec Street is the birthplace of Janez Puhar (1814–1864), the first Slovenian photographer and inventor of a method of photography on glass. He was a priest by profession, but he also liked to study physics, chemistry, astronomy, music, poetry, and fine arts. But most of all, he was passionate about photography. The plaque was installed by the photo-cinema club Janez Puhar.
