Slovenian Square with sculptures by Lojze Dolinar

At the time of the Yugoslav kingdom, this square was named after the crown prince Peter, after the war it was called the Park of Freedom, then since 1961 the Square of the Revolution and finally, since 1991, it bears the name of independent Slovenia. On its East side is the former community centre of the nation (later of the workers), in the West the general secondary school and in the North the building of the municipal and state administrations.

The statues in the square are works of Lojze Dolinar and the relief of Kranj on the northern edge was created by Stane Kolman for the visitors of the town, blind and partially sighted people can use it to get a sense of what the town centre is like on a map.
