Khislstein Castle

The castle bears the name of the Khisl family, who acquired it in the second half of the 16th century. Its ownership went from one famous ruling family to another, the Ortenburgs, the Counts of Cilli, the Habsburgs, Auerspergs and many others. The castle changed its appearance and function through time.

Nowadays, it combines knowledge and pleasure, hosing the museum of Gorenjska with its educational exhibitions, the Khislstein Summer Stage, where a varied cultural program takes place, and the café Khislstein 12.56, where you can enjoy your favourite drinks in a peaceful atmosphere.
