Bell tower of the church in Kranj

The church of St. Cantianus with its mighty appearance and strategic location is the most recognizable building in the city skyline. Its bell tower rises 60 meters high. There are 163 steps that will take you to the viewing platform. Behind its nearly 600-year-old walls, architectural and historical attractions of the church are revealed to its visitors. The church bells are also a very special feature of this church. When you step onto the viewing platform, you can experience stories of this city that stands on a rock between two rivers. The view from here extends to all three mountain chains of the Slovenian Alps and in all four directions.

This is a view that makes your heart beat to the rhythm of music! At the top of the bell tower, 10 little bronze and skilfully made melodic bells ring 15 times a day. You can listen to them every day between 9.30am and 17.30pm.
