Jamnik

The hill of Jamnik with the church of Sts. Primus and Felician at its top is considered one of the most stunning viewpoints in Slovenia and is also a popular destination for cyclists and hikers. While driving there through Zgornja Besnica, you can also take a short walk downhill through the forest to visit one of the largest sliding waterfalls in Slovenia – the Šum waterfall.

Bobovek lakes

The three lakes at Bobovek (Krokodilnica, Čukova jama and Ledvička) were once dug out for clay and so in 1953 a skeleton of a mammoth was found here. Due to their paleontological, ornithological and other special features, the lakes are now protected as a natural heritage site.
