2026 European Road Cycling Championship
Kranj – the best choice for a fan base!
Between 2 and 7 October 2026, the Gorenjska region will host the largest cycling event in Slovenian history: the European Road Cycling Championship. The main hosts will be the City of Ljubljana and the Municipality of Šenčur, where all races will finish. Between October 2 and 4, the route will pass through Kranj, which, at just 7.5 kilometres from the finish line, is an excellent base for fans.
Kranj has everything fans need for an unforgettable experience: accommodations, restaurants, cafés, a historic city centre and parking lots, all while being located where you can see the decisive moments of the European Championships in person and live.
Over the course of five days, the European Road Cycling Championship will host junior and senior road races and time trials for more than 50 national teams.
The exceptional successes of Tadej Pogačar, Primož Roglič and Kranj natives Matej Mohorič and Luka Mezgec are the reason why the Slovenian national team is today one of the most popular teams at the Olympic Games, at World Championships and European Championships.
The European Championship will be exceptional for Slovenian cycling in yet another way, as Tadej Pogačar will be defending his European title. If he succeeds, he will become the first rider to successfully defend the European title.

Na petkove dogodke v Kranju z brezplačnim avtobusom
Vsak petek, od 23. 5. do 12. 9. 2025 od 16. ure naprej, so VSE redne lokalne linije kranjskih avtobusov BREZPLAČNE.
