DOM NA JOŠTU
Okusi kranjskih miz (10. – 26. maj 2024)
Na 845 nadmorskih metrov visokem hribu, ki je priljubljena rekreacijska točka Kranjčanov, od leta 1950 stoji Dom na Joštu. Že točno desetletje ga vodita zakonca Sedej, Tina in Matjaž, ki iznajdljivo skrbita, da je tu vsakokrat nekaj novega.
Matjaž Sedej je kuhar z dolgoletnimi izkušnjami, ki je obiskoval kuharsko šolo v Parizu, delal je tudi v Londonu in na Novi Zelandiji.

Kuhinja v Domu na Joštu je odprta od srede do nedelje, ko bodo med 10. in 26. majem stregli tudi spodaj zapisani jedilnik. Rezervacija je obvezna.

DOM NA JOŠTU
Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (8 – 24 May 2026)
Jošt is the favourite local hill for the people of Kranj, but it is also much more than that. At 845 meters above sea level, locals head up there also when they wish to add good food to the hiking through the forest.
At Dom na Joštu, they serve hearty stews and prepare other dishes to order. Their house winemaker has been Kristančič from Medana for over a decade, and in recent years they’ve also had their own beer, called Krokodilček, which is brewed at the nearby Advocatus Brewery in Sveti Duh.
Menu (May 8–24, 2026):
→ Amuse-bouche: Carniolan sausage, Jošt’s potato salad
→ Warm appetizer: mushroom soup
→ Main course: pork ribs in their own sauce, pork tenderloin in mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes, and mushroom risotto
→ Dessert: chocolate-topped kaiserschmarrn
→ Menu price: 30 euros
→ Local and Slovenian ingredients: meat and meat products from Kalan Butcher Shop (Stražišče), vegetables from Kristina Zavrl’s farm (Srednje Bitnje), kaiserschmarrn and štruklji from Fine Culinar (Žabnica) and the award-winning Carniolan sausage from Arvaj Butcher’s (Britof).
The menu prepared for the Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj will be available from May 11 to 15 and from May 18 to 22 between 1pm and 7pm.
