Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (8 – 24 May 2026)
This spacious restaurant with its intriguing name (bay window for the nosy people) is located in a building right next to the Tržič swimming pool, better known as the beach of Gorenjska.
The Firbc okn team prepares game and fish dishes every day of the year; they also bake pizzas, make pasta, and offer other options, along with a variety of intricately crafted house-made desserts.
Menu (8 – 24 May 2026):
→ Cold appetizer: smoked trout tartare, honey gel, cucumber sorbet
→ Main course: chicken (sous vide), wild garlic cream, potato pavé, marinated asparagus, clear porcini mushroom sauce
→ Dessert: honey harmony (honey mousse, yogurt sorbet, honey gel, honey crumble)
→ Menu price: 30 euros
→ Additional option (for an extra charge) is a wine pairing. We selected a glass of Pinot Gris (Kobal) to accompany the appetizer, a Pinot Noir Pavo (Kristančič) with the main course, and a Muscat sparkling wine (Hrvatin) with the dessert. Price of the wines: 15 euros.
→ Local and Slovenian ingredients: trout from the Meriba Fish Farm – Mitja Meglič (Jelendol), asparagus from the Pr’ Šparovc Farm (Podbrezje), microgreens from Mikrogreen (Radovljica), goodies from the Jerala Farm (Podbrezje), freeze-dried fruit by Gosad (Štore).
