GOSTILNA POD KRAVAVCEM
Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (9 – 25 May 2025)
“Home cooking for over 60 years, three uniquely decorated rooms with a garden, a trout pond. This is a meeting point for having traditional local dishes with a touch of something new.” This is how the website briefly and succinctly introduces this restaurant beneath the Krvavec Mountain, run by its young owner Benjamin Rezar.
Jedilnik (9. – 25. maj 2025):
From 9 to 25 May 2025, Gostilna pod Krvavcem will be serving the following menu from Wednesday to Friday, between 12 and 9 pm.
Fish menu:
→ Caught by the fisherman: trout carpaccio in beetroot juice, orange mousse and cucumber caviar
→ If you have ramsons: wild garlic soup, carrot noodles and raspberry powder
→ Gardener’s trout: trout fillet accompanied by asparagus and butter sauce and roast potatoes
or
Meat menu:
→ Kings and Queen: roast pork carpaccio and tuna sauce with raspberry powder and balsamic caviar
→ If you have ramsons: wild garlic soup, carrot noodles and raspberry powder
→ Cross of lamb: leg of lamb (lower back) in sous vide, gužvara savoury cheese pie with cracklings and red cabbage puree
→ Menu price: 29 EUR
→ Additional options (extra charge): hot starter – spätzle with Carniolan sausage, porcini mushrooms, parsley oil and parmesan foam (11 euros)
→ Local ingredients: trout from the Vodomec fish farm (Zalog pri Cerkljah), lamb by Krismit (Trata pri Škofji Loki), Carniolan sausage by the Rešet butchery (Britof), dairy products by the Podjed dairy (Olševek), and wild garlic picked in the vicinity of our restaurant.
