TABOR RESTAURANT 
Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (8 – 24 May 2026)

“The heart of our restaurant is, of course, the kitchen, where our master chef creates dishes that sometimes resemble a colour palette and at other times they are like little magic tricks, but they always bring a real luxury of flavours.” These are the words used by manager Mateja Markič to describe the restaurant that is renowned far and wide for its imaginatively crafted seafood flavours.

Tabor, with its chef Gašper Kordež, was awarded two toques by the Gault & Millau Slovenia culinary guide, three forks by the Austrian magazine Falstaff and three hearts in the Vivi rating. The restaurant also has the Slovenia Green Cuisine sustainability label.

Menu (8 – 24 May 2026):

→ Amuse-bouche: Welcome to our restaurant
→ Cold appetizer: trio of seafood appetizers
→ Soup: seasonal soup
→ Main course: white fish fillet, risotto with leeks and buckwheat popcorn

→ Menu price: 30 euros

→ Additional option (for an extra charge): spicy shrimp with honey and thyme (14 euros), dessert – orange tart, chocolate ganache, orange gel (8 euros).

→ Local ingredients: dairy products from Golar Farm – Eva Škrjanc (Žeje), flour and buckwheat from Pr’ Šuštar Farm – Primož Krišelj (Hotemaže), and chestnut honey from beekeeper Zvone Fireder (Reteče).
