Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (9 – 25 May 2025)
“The heart of our restaurant is, of course, the kitchen, where our master chef creates dishes that sometimes resemble a colour palette and at other times they are like little magic tricks, but they always bring a real luxury of flavours.” These are the words used by manager Mateja Markič to describe the restaurant that is renowned far and wide for its imaginatively crafted seafood flavours.
Tabor, with its chef Gašper Kordež, was awarded two caps by the Gault & Millau Slovenia culinary guide, three forks by the Austrian magazine Falstaff and three hearts in the Vivi rating. The restaurant also has the Slovenia Green Cuisine sustainability label.

→ Amuse bouche: a little surprise in May
→ Cold starter: scorpionfish spread with capers
→ Main starter: tuna steak with pepper, white fish sauce, vegetable puree
→ Menu price: 29 EUR
→ Additional options (extra charge): hot starter – pasta with Venus clams (€12), dessert – chocolate brownie with currant sorbet (€8)
