GOSTILNA IVAN
Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (9 – 25 May 2025)
In February 2025, Anže Skvarč opened this restaurant in the old part of Kranj. He decided to serve dishes that would delight locals and tourists alike.
Chef Skvarč creates lunch menus and prepares dishes to order, focusing on traditional and local flavours, spiced with just the right amount of something different and bold. Here you will find Carniolan sausage, štruklji à la Kranj, a selection of Slovenian cheeses, trout from local farms and other flavours of the Gorenjska region.

Meat menu:
→ Amuse bouche: posmodulja bread with Carniolan sausage
→ Cold starter: marinated trout, sour cream, pickled cucumber
→ Hot starter: mavželj (minced pork filling in net) with mousse of cheese and beetroot, pickled beetroot puree
→ Main course: beef ribs, mashed potatoes, natural sauce, carrots
→ Dessert: goat curd cheese pie, rhubarb compote
→ Menu price: 29 EUR
→ Wines (extra charge): Monteclassico sparkling wine and Malvasia (both Monterosso), Istrian Malvasia and Rebula (both Atimo), Bunka cider (Gostilna Repovž) – €15
→ Local and Slovenian ingredients: bread delicacies from the Bread and Black bakery (Britof pri Kranju), meat products from the Šavs butchery and delicatessen (Kranj), trout from the Vodomec fish farm (Pšata), dairy products by the Pustotnik farm (Gorenja vas), cider by Gostilna Repovž (Šentjanž) and other specialities from the Sloga agricultural cooperative (Kranj).

Pri Laknerju bodo Okuse kranjskih miz med 10. in 26. majem stregli vse dni, in to med 12. in 18. uro. Rezervacija je obvezna. Če boste rezervirali za več kot 10 oseb, vam lokalno obarvani jedilnik postrežejo vse do 21. ure.
