Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj (8 – 24 May 2026)
Whether in the dining room, the hotel’s hunting lodge, its lounge bar or the summer garden: there is plenty of space everywhere to enjoy meals carefully prepared by the kitchen team at Hotel Oskar – Zaplata, all while enjoying the view of the picturesque peaks of the Gorenjska region.
The hotel restaurant will treat you to game delicacies, traditional Slovenian flavours and dishes inspired by the surrounding forests. There is also a seasonal menu featuring ingredients grown on nearby and slightly more distant Slovenian farms.
Menu (8 – 24 May 2026):
→ Cold appetizer: shrimp on a bed of avocado
→ Main course: salmon fillet on a bed of wild garlic dumplings with asparagus
→ Salad: diced beets with goat cheese and edible flowers
→ Dessert: house-made apple ice cream with honey tuile
→ Menu price: 30 euros
→ Additional option (for an extra charge) is a wine pairing from the Koželj House of Fine Wines, specifically: Malvasia (Guerila), Brgalot White – Chardonnay (Benedetič), Sauvignon (Frešer), and Rhine Riesling – semi-sweet (Marof). Price of these wines: 16 euros.
→ Local and Slovenian ingredients: dairy products from Mlekarstvo Podjed (Olševek), microgreens from Šebenik (Borovnica), vegetables from Bojan Bobnar (Spodnji Brnik).
This special menu will be served during the Fine Cuisine in and around Kranj event (May 8–24): Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10pm. Saturdays from 1pm to 10pm, Sundays from 12 noon to 5pm.
